Hello!
If you're viewing my profile, you probably think I have aimbot or something similar. You aren't the first! Keep reading for more info:

I've been falsely accused/reported dozens of times throughout the years on a variety of games, and even banned in some cases. I've played with a rather rare mouse sensitivity of 1800 DPI for nearly a decade, and I have taken many screenshots of people's accusations, as proof that it is a common occurrence for me (though I have these set to private, you're free to ask if you'd like to see!).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's some common phrases that I've heard from other players with answers:

"Why do you cheat?"

I don't cheat. I've never cheated in any online video game I have ever played, and I never plan on doing so.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"You have a toggle/you're toggling!"

No. I do not have a toggle for aimbot, either. As an unfortunate reality of having a fast mouse sensitivity, my aim is not excellent. It's inconsistent, actually. I'm able to quickly snap onto enemies, but tracking is harder for me.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"You're a bad cheater, you can't even hide your cheats well!"

Again, this is due to playing with a high sensitivity. It's inconsistent. I can consistently snap/flick onto enemies, but I cannot consistently track them as good.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I don't believe you actually play with 1800 DPI, your aim looks weird/is inhuman!"

It's up to you to believe what you want to believe, but the truth is that 1800 DPI is what I'm comfortable with. I agree that my aim absolutely looks like aimbot at times, so I don't blame players for thinking that, but fast sensitivity doesn't mean I'm cheating. There are only a few legit players like me out there that play with a sensitivity as high/nearly as high as mine (and even fewer that play higher!), but we do exist.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"If you don't like being accused of aimbot. why not play with a lower sensitivity?"

I'm comfortable playing at 1800 DPI. I started my PC FPS journey with Overwatch back in 2016 during the beta. After the game came out, I bumped up my sensitivity on purpose so that I could be the "fastest Genji player in the world" (sounds dumb, I know). I changed it to 45 in-game sens, and 1800 DPI. 2 years later, I upped it to 65 in-game sens, 1800 DPI. I played with this sensitivity for 5 more years, before I eventually got falsely banned from Overwatch 2 for "use of third-party programs".

Because I am so accustomed to fast sensitivity, anything slower feels wrong. I can confidently play at a higher sensitivity, and do well with it. I don't want to change how I play just so that I can avoid false accusations. I am who I am and I play how I play.
